PUBLIC SAFETY

We can prevent violent crime by giving our law enforcement officers the tools they need, but to truly keep Missourians safe, we have a responsibility to the root causes of most crime — namely poverty, instability, and inequality. By looking for ways to reduce recidivism and stabilize and strengthen communities, combined with changes to our court and corrections systems, we can be not just tough on crime, but smart on crime.

Missouri House Democrats have bills that will make our state safer and save lives.
