JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Missouri has unfortunately kept its place in the BOTTOM 10, in terms of overall performance of state health care systems.
According to the report, Missouri currently ranks... ⬇️
36th in Access and Affordability,
40th in Prevention and Treatment,
50th in Avoidable Use and Cost,
40th in Healthy Lives,
47th in Income Disparity,
31st in Racial and Ethnic Equity, and
43RD IN OVERALL PERFORMANCE.
LET'S BE CLEAR: It doesn't have to be this way. Missourians deserve the best quality of life that the U.S. has to offer and we are not living up to that. Access, affordability and quality of healthcare is vital to a prosperous and fulfilling life and should be the standard in every corner of our state (to say nothing of our nation.)
The data for this annual ranking is compiled by The Commonwealth Fund, a century-old, nonpartisan health industry tracker.
